INVENTORY & PURCHASING

Know what’s available.
Connect what comes next.

Bring product specifications, location balances, purchase orders, and receipts together. See what is allocated, what is expected, and what has arrived—without losing the product details behind the quantity.

PRODUCT CONTEXT THROUGH EVERY HANDOFF

Keep the item, the order, and the stock connected.

Give purchasing and inventory teams a shared view of the product being ordered and the quantities that need attention.

Understand the balance

Distinguish available, allocated, on-hand, and in-transit quantities. Review the location and unit behind each number.

Buy against the right product

Connect vendor details, line quantities, prices, and expected dates to the product specification your team uses.

Record the delivery

Receive against the open order quantity, keep partial deliveries visible, and trace the resulting inventory change.

EXPLORE A PARTIAL DELIVERY

One order. Two items. A connected receipt.

Start with PO-1042, receive 40 of the outstanding drive housings, and see the available stock update immediately. Explore the inventory balances and receipt history when you want more detail.

FOLLOW THE QUANTITY WITH ITS CONTEXT

From a product question to the next review.

The order line, product requirement, and stock balance answer different questions. Keep their relationships available as the work moves forward.

Specifications & evidence

Open the linked product, review its documents, and investigate missing details with Insights and LINQ Assist.

Location & transaction context

Review location-specific stock, inventory movements, and transfers within the configured workflow.

Follow up with context

Ask LINQ Assist what has arrived, what remains open, and which supporting records need a closer look.

CONNECT PURCHASING TO PRODUCT INFORMATION

Keep the requirement
behind the order.

Supplier quotes and product pricing help teams evaluate an option. Purchase orders and receipts track the order and its delivery. Keep both connected to specifications, supporting documents, and the relevant review process.

A LITTLE MORE CONTEXT

Questions,
connected.

How are available, allocated, and on-hand quantities different?

In the illustrated app workflow, on hand is available plus allocated. In-transit quantities are shown separately. Review the location and unit of measure when comparing balances.

Can we receive part of a purchase order?

The receiving workflow shows ordered, previously received, and open quantities for each line. Record the delivered quantity and review what remains open. The website example uses whole units of ea; review your actual units and receiving requirements during implementation.

Does receiving stock approve the product or close the PO?

Receipt quantity, inspection acceptance, and PO workflow status are separate. Configure the required evidence and review responsibilities around your process. In the example, the PO workflow status stays Open even when all quantities have been received.

Can we review inventory by location and trace changes?

Use location-specific inventory views and transaction history to investigate balances and movements. Confirm the locations, transaction types, access, and units needed for your workflow during scoping.

Does this automatically reorder, email vendors, or connect to accounting?

Those requirements should be reviewed during implementation. Bring your replenishment rules, vendor communication process, and required system connections to the demo so the scope is explicit.

What should we bring to a demo?

Bring one product specification, a representative purchase order and partial receipt, your locations, and the units your team uses. We will review the relationships, receiving requirements, and reporting context with you.
